Autumn Term 2024 

It has been another industrious start to the year for Beacon class!

We have been focussing on establishing routines that help our young learners to persevere with their lesson objectives and thus far, we have done this with kindness.

The pupils have been ambitious with their learning, using robots in STEM and testing their physical limits in Badminton. 

We have been accepting when putting calming strategies in place and courageous in being able to share these with our peers.

It is not always easy navigating the challenges of school, but I am proud to say that Beacon class are trying their best and setting themselves up right for the year ahead!

Spring Term 2025 

What a start to the Spring term for Beacon class, you might even say we have a "spring" in our step! 

We have hit the ground running, establishing routines and reacclimatising to the school day and, most impressively, we have been completing our Literacy Big 5. 

The pupils of Beacon class have been displaying the school values by reading out loud to each other during tutor times. It may seem like a small achievement, but this is a huge step for our young learners, and it displays a wonderful sense of maturity, setting the scene for term ahead. 

In wider school news, Beacon pupils have started their very own Action Team, "RC Club".  We plan to source, buy, plan and build our very own remote-controlled fleet, ranging from drones to 4x4 cars. Once built, the pupils plan to race them around the track at the front of the school. On your marks, get set, GO!
