Here at Little
green Academy, we offer a number of therapeutic practices to the pupils, one of which is ELSA intervention work.
ELSA stands for Emotional Literacy Support Assistant. An understanding of Emotional Literacy gives us the ability to recognise, understand, handle and appropriately express our emotions. Through the interventions offered at Littlegreen Academy, some of the areas we can work on are: Self-esteem, social skills, recognising emotions, anger management, anxiety and friendships, amongst others.
Kate Dennis is the ELSA here at Littlegreen. Kate, who gained her ELSA qualification at Worthing College last academic year, is an established member of staff. Since joining the school in 2017 she has worked extensively, providing consistent, nurturing support to the pupils. Kate delivers bespoke interventions to identified pupils to support them reaching their fullest potential.
