Multiplication Table Checks

The MTC (multiplication tables check) is a national test to see whether pupils can recall their times tables fluently, which is essential for future success in maths. All pupils in lower school for the last two weeks have focused on their times tables.

They have all shown perseverance and practiced using lots of different learning activities, including reading a book 'How to Build One Million Robots’, Times Table Rock Stars (please contact the office if you need a login to continue practicing at home), practicing against the clock, recalling times tables through chants and having the courage to answer multiplication questions in front of all their peers in the lunch hall.

In the second week, pupils continued being courageous and sat in exam conditions to show what times tables they know and remember. A MASSIVE well done to all the pupils for being successful in learning their times tables!
