National Apprenticeship Week
This week we have celebrated National Apprenticeship Week!
Apprenticeships provide a unique opportunity for anyone looking to advance their career. You'll be able to undertake in-depth training relevant to the role you're working in while earning a wage!
Apprenticeships, unlike university or college, provide a mix of hands-on experience and tutor-led learning and, by the end of your apprenticeship, you'll have all the skills you need to undertake your role on your own and progress your career even further.
This week we welcomed Kat from the Steve Willis Training Centre, who specialises in gas, plumbing and electrical short courses and apprenticeships. Kat also spoke to our pupils about apprenticeships in general including how long they may take and how much they could potentially earn. The pupils engaged excellently with Kat and asked lots of questions about apprenticeships and how this may relate to their post-16 pathways.
We also welcomed Jamie from the Chichester College apprenticeship team and Holly Hart from the University of Chichester apprenticeship team to speak with pupils and give them more information.
