Welcome to Willow Class one of our Key Stage 3 classes here at Littlegreen Academy.
Autumn Term 2025
Willow Class have made a fantastic start to the autumn term! In Topic, we are on an exciting journey exploring history from the Stone Age to Artificial Intelligence, learning how life and technology have changed through the ages.
In English, the pupils have been working hard on their reading skills, focusing on understanding characters’ feelings. They showed Kindness by helping one another when reading and celebrating each other’s successes.
We also talked about Acceptance, as pupils respected other people’s opinions, and welcomed new perspectives when discussing books and stories.
In our STEM challenge, pupils showed great Ambition by aiming high, working with courage and perseverance to build the tallest towers they could using only playdough and buttons. Their teamwork, determination, and creative thinking were truly impressive!
In RSHE, we explored our five senses and thought about how they help us understand and enjoy the world around us. During Thrive, the children had a lot of fun with messy play, developing confidence, creativity, and positive relationships through play-based learning.
What a brilliant start to the year, Willow Class — keep it up!

Autumn Term 2 2025
Willow Class has been very busy and has enjoyed a range of exciting learning experiences over the past few weeks.
The pupils loved their visit to Petersfield Heath, where they made the most of the lovely weather and enjoyed a well-earned hot chocolate. It was a great opportunity for outdoor learning, exploration, and spending time together in nature.
We also had a fantastic trip to Staunton Farm, where pupils enjoyed feeding the animals and learning more about how to care for them. The pupils were engaged, enthusiastic, and showed great curiosity throughout the visit.
Back in school, Willow Class has been busy in DT, creating Christmas wreaths as we get ready for the festive season. Pupils showed creativity, focus, and teamwork while developing their practical skills.
Some pupils were lucky enough to visit the Chichester Festival Theatre to watch a football-themed performance, which was an exciting and engaging cultural experience. Other pupils took part in the Shaping Portsmouth Project, where they developed confidence, teamwork, and real-world skills.
It has been wonderful to see Willow Class so engaged, enthusiastic, and willing to take part in such a wide range of activities. Well done, Willow Class!"
